Clare Lanigan
I’m a freelance digital archivist with many years’ experience working with a wide range of cultural heritage organisations.
Most recently I worked as Digital Archivist and Coordinator on the Archiving Reproductive Health project at the Digital Repository of Ireland. This project collected and preserved a selection of digital records created by grassroots organisations campaigning for reproductive rights in Ireland, especially around the 2018 referendum to repeal the Eighth Amendment of the Irish constitution.
I have almost a decade of experience in the archiving and records management sector, most recently with the Digital Repository of Ireland, a national repository for arts and humanities records. With DRI, I also worked on the Community Archive Scheme, supporting small voluntary archives uploading material to the repository.
I have over 5 years’ experience volunteering in social justice organisations, including a central role in the successful Together for Yes referendum campaigns. I have a deep understanding of the unique experiences and challenges of non-profit and voluntary social organisations.
